Temporary Bike Land Installation on the Avenue

After receiving input from residents and community members, Ventura Avenue was identified for potential safety improvements for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists. As a result, starting October 13 until October 16, the City’s Active Transportation Plan (ATP) team will be placing a four-day temporary bike lane on Ventura Avenue (near Bike Ventura). The team will be capturing data including speed, traffic data, and input from road users. Visit www.activeplanventura.com for more information and to share your experience and observations.

Development in Ventura

Great conversation has been coming up about both the Westside and the general development in the City of Ventura. At our last WCC general meeting we discussed two developments that most recently went to the DRC (Design Review Commission) located on the Westside: 141 N Ventura Ave Renovation (PROJ-14897) and Two Eleven (PROJ-22-0092). To find out more information about these projects, and upcoming projects to DRC, click on the link below. One proposed project of note is the Olive Block Apartments (PROJ-15442) at 985 N Olive St. set to go to DRC in the months ahead.
